Clinton improves to 15-6, 8-2 in the region.
Clinton and Newberry are tied for first in the region. These two teams will play on Thursday, February 8, at 7:30 at Woodruff High School to determine the #1 and #2 seeds in the region.
Coach Romines: “I’m so proud of my team. We were 2-2 and had lost 2 close games in row (by three points each), but we didn’t quit and won six region games in a row to claim a share of the region championship. However, tonight’s game was not our best effort. I give credit to Woodruff; they got after us tonight. We were not sharp tonight on offense or defense, but we found a way to win. We must play better on offense and defend better Thursday night against Newberry to have a chance to win. Hopefully, we will be ready to play. “
