Another great night on the pitch for the Lady Red Devils. The Clinton Girls’ soccer teams traveled to take on region opponent Union County Yellow Jackets. It was another well played game by two hard working squads. Union took an early lead in the 1st half just to have Clinton end the half with a 2-1 lead off 2 goals by center mid-fielder Madison Bagwell (1 goal off a Abby Collins assist). The Lady Devils scores quickly in the 2nd when Abby Collins recovered a deflected ball at the net and sent the ball in behind the keeper. However, the Lady Jackets took advantage of a couple Clinton miscues and scored two goals quick goals. The Lady Devils kept up the pressure and Reese Lawson was able to score her 1st goal of the season off an assist from Abby Collins. Ella Cooper had another standout performance at keeper and Emma Pinson had her best night of the season distributing the ball from the middle of the field. These young women just keep getting better every game and their hard work at practice is showing in every game. Clinton Varsity improves to 7-4 (overall) 4-2 (region)
The JV Lady Red Devils managed to achieve another win for the Clinton high family improving to 3-4-1 (overall and 3-1-1 (region). The younger Ref Devils put up a great fight, they continued to work hard and were determined to score.
